Food Safety Guidance

FSA update to the use of raw flour

The guidance recommends cooking off flour to a safe time temperature combination to reduce the risk from bacteria such as E.coli. It does however qualify this with the below:

“The advice that raw flour should not be consumed unless cooked is aimed at vulnerable people - those with compromised immune systems and children under 5 years of age.”
