Sustaining Small Bakery Businesses - Survey by Professor Emma Bell, The Open University.

The CBA and its members have worked with Professor Emma Bell of the Open University on her study of bakery businesses in the UK which have 50 employees or less. The study found that 17% of small bakery businesses were founded since the start of 2020 and more than a third are less than five years old. Bakery Businesses have contributed significantly to British food cultures and local communities and builds upon the long history of craft baking in the UK.
